Great service and amazing food! Environment is always very welcoming. This place it's always my fist option when it comes to good genuine Mexican cuisine.

We came here after a UH football game and it still hits just as good as when I was in undergrad. The margaritas were refreshing and the fajitas hit the spot. Our server was fantastic.

Awesome service, casual ambiance and good live music every time we visit but today was a little aggravating. We arrived a little before our 1 pm reservation made through the open table app. The hostess told us she didn't know anything about any reservations so we had to wait for our turn on a long waitlist. This was very aggravating since Sunday's are always busy there. They had plenty of open tables but maybe not enough staff is my only guess. I asked the hostess 3 more times before they finally gave us a table. The food here is always good but they have cut down some on what they put out. The coffees are always amazing, nice and hot. Today the champurrado was cold for some reason. The taquitos are always delicious, there are many varieties of salsas to choose from. I love the nopal salad here. Fresh cactus that aren't slimy. The tripas are fried to perfection. The green spaghetti is wonderful. Great huge omelettes made to order. The tamales have plenty of meat in them and are nice sized. The food variety is great. Desserts and fresh fruit is available. It's a little pricey @ $27 for the Sunday buffet especially if you don't eat much but it does include drinks unlike other Mexican buffets. I do recommend if you're a good eater and have a good appetite. I did like that we weren't rushed especially because we were spending the afternoon with our daughter who was going back to Dallas later in the evening. The owner still goes around checking on everybody. He told us a little about himself and his family and said he's been in business over 50 years. I remember when they had the business in a gas station looking building when I moved here to Houston in 1989, that was our go to place that was always busy. They will be opening another location in Katy soon. We wish them well in all they do.

My daughter selected Doneraki for Happy Hour. Immediately upon walking in we was greeted by the hostess and our waiter. We sat down..attentiveness. Ordered appetizers...bam someone was there. Minutes later ...bam someone different took that order. Chips and salsa delivered.. BAM someone was there. Ordered drink..BAM a different person, my Gbaby dropped a chip on the floor...BAM a different person picked it up. Drinks deliver...BAM different person. My point is this, exceptional customer service and great TEAM WORK. During our visit, I noticed they was going thru shift change and we couldn't tell because our dining experience never lacked a disruption of service. Food delivered hot and fresh We enjoyed the ambience, nice happy hour crowd. As we was preparing to leave, the live band arrived. 100% I will return. I was really really impressed by the shift changing and everyone took responsibility to insure we had a pleasant dinning experience. Pardon me for not remembering to take pertinent pictures, I was starving at the time and enjoying family time.

I'm lying down in my bed reading everyone else's reviews and I'm dying of laughter. Like my experience was the greatest and they were really on top of us to make sure our drinks are filled, checking in constantly with on how our food was, etc. My food was bomb AF, mannnn. Like I devoured that ish.
